01.Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise accessing or using Ekholon (https://ekholon.app) and its associated services ("Platform", "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
02.Eligibility & Student Participation
Ekholon is built as a peer-learning and collaboration ecosystem for students, developers, designers, and creators.
- Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction) to use Ekholon.
- Minors (Under 18): If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent or legal guardian and have their permission to use the Platform.
- Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during account registration.
03.Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify Ekholon immediately at ekholon.app@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
- You may not transfer, sell, or assign your account or username to any other person or organization.
- Ekholon will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
04.User Content & Ownership
You Retain Ownership of Your Original Work
You retain 100% of your copyright and intellectual property rights in any text, code, projects, educational notes, images, or other materials you submit or publish on Ekholon ("User Content").
License to Ekholon: By submitting or publishing User Content on the Platform, you grant Ekholon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, cache, display, format, reproduce, and distribute your content solely as necessary to operate, improve, and provide the Services to you and other community members.
Your Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to publish the content you submit, and that your content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
05.Community Standards & Prohibited Conduct
To maintain a safe, constructive, and collaborative space for all builders, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:
- Harassment & Abuse: Bullying, stalking, threatening, defaming, or intimidating any user or group.
- Fraudulent Opportunities & Scams: Posting fake internships, fake job offers, unauthorized multi-level marketing (MLM), predatory paid courses, or fraudulent schemes.
- Spam & Commercial Abuse: Mass unsolicited messaging, automated comment flooding, referral link farming, or link-stuffing.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another individual, student, educator, moderator, company, or institution.
- Intellectual Property Violations: Uploading pirated textbooks, proprietary examination questions, commercial software cracks, or stolen project code.
- Security & System Abuse: Attempting to probe, scan, breach authentication, distribute malware, scrape private data, or disrupt Platform infrastructure.
06.Group Chats, Direct Messages & Study Sessions
Ekholon provides interactive community spaces, including topic-based group channels (e.g., General, Code, Design, Launch, Circuits), 1v1 direct messaging, and live peer study sessions.
- You agree to communicate courteously and constructively in all chat channels and live rooms.
- Users must not share sensitive personal information (such as private financial details, home addresses, or passwords) in public chat channels.
- Peer study rooms and video session links are hosted by individual users; Ekholon does not record or control third-party video communications.
07.Third-Party Links, Materials & Opportunities Disclaimer
Independent Verification Required
Ekholon is a community platform where members may share educational resources, study notes, open-source repositories, hackathons, and internship links:
- No Employment Guarantee: Ekholon does not guarantee the accuracy, compensation, legitimacy, or outcome of any external internship, job listing, or opportunity posted by community members.
- Educational Material Accuracy: Notes, slides, and educational files uploaded by users are for peer study purposes only. Ekholon makes no representations regarding their academic accuracy or completeness.
- External Links: We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or safety of external websites linked on the Platform.
08.Content Moderation & Termination
Ekholon reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, investigate, hide, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or harms community safety.
If you violate these Terms, Ekholon may issue warnings, restrict specific features, or temporarily or permanently suspend your account. You may also terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account through Settings or contacting support.
09.Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
"AS IS" BASIS: THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW IN INDIA, EKHOLON, ITS FOUNDERS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
10.Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
11.Changes to Terms & Contact Us
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revisions.
